- Streams cleared transactions into the ledger for reconciliation.
- Never initiates payments or moves money — read-only, always.

Trust & security
- Access
- Read-only transactions scope via Plaid Link. OpenBooks never receives your bank password — Plaid brokers the connection.
- Revoke
- Revoke OpenBooks' access at any time from Plaid (Plaid Portal or your bank)'s connected-apps settings, or from your OpenBooks dashboard. Tokens are scoped and never sold.
- Encryption & handling
- Processed on OpenBooks-controlled infrastructure, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Never shared with third-party model providers (local-only data doctrine). See /security.

Status
Coming soon — Automated bank feeds are in development and gated on our banking-data vendor selection. Until then we reconcile from bank statement exports.
