Chrome extension privacy
Only the approved transaction crosses the bridge.

Single purpose
The OpenBooks Hawaiʻi Filing Assistant transfers a transaction that an authorized OpenBooks user approved into a supported Hawaiʻi Candidate Filing System or Noncandidate Filing System workflow.
Data the extension receives
For the selected transaction: date, transaction type, amount, counterparty, purpose, reporting category, OpenBooks transaction identifier, and committee workspace identifier.
Data the extension does not receive
The extension does not request or store CFS or NCFS usernames, passwords, bank credentials, browsing history, unrelated page content, or transactions the user did not select.
Storage and transmission
The approved payload is stored temporarily in Chrome session storage so it can move from the OpenBooks tab to the state filing tab. Session storage is cleared when the browser session ends. The extension does not sell data or use it for advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated analytics.
Permissions
Storage holds the approved payload temporarily. Site access is limited to the OpenBooks installation and filing routes and the official Hawaiʻi CFS and NCFS paths.
Human control
The extension does not certify or submit a disclosure report. The authorized treasurer reviews the state screen and controls final save, certification, and submission.
